To provide a medical imaging apparatus and an endoscope apparatus capable of efficiently evaluating consecutively input imaging signals.SOLUTION: A medical imaging apparatus according to the present invention includes: an imaging unit having a plurality of pixels and outputting imaging signals which include electrical signals of the plurality of pixels； a memory recording the imaging signals； an evaluation value calculation unit calculating an evaluation value of an image generated based on the imaging signals； an imaging signal selection unit selecting an imaging signal to be displayed based on the calculated evaluation value when an instruction signal for selecting the imaging signal to be displayed is input； a memory control unit extracting, from the memory, the imaging signal selected by the imaging signal selection unit； and an image processing unit applying a process on the imaging signal acquired from the memory control unit to generate a display image.
