PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-bearing reel configured to accurately and easily assemble a switching member of an opening/closing mechanism capable of opening a frame by a side plate, securing stability of actuation of the switching member, and attaining downsizing, weight saving, and reduction in manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: The double-bearing reel according to the present invention includes an opening/closing mechanism 20 capable of opening/closing a side plate 8A at an opposite side of a handle, with respect to a frame 7A. The opening/closing mechanism 20 includes a switching member 27 having an operation part 27A (60) that switches between an openable state in which the frame 7A can be opened by the side plate 8A, and a closure lock state in which the frame 7A is closed by the side plate 8A.
