The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating acne containing a Sargassum miyabei ethyl acetate fraction as an active component. The Sargassum miyabei ethyl acetate fraction exhibits an effect of inhibiting the penetration of neutrocytes induced by Propionibacterium acnes, which is acne-causing bacteria, and reducing abscess. Therefore, the composition containing the Sargassum miyabei ethyl acetate fraction as the active component can be provided as an excellent acne therapeutic agent and a cosmetic composition for preventing or alleviating acne.본 발명은 미아베모자반 에틸 아세테이트 분획물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 여드름 예방 또는 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 상기 미아베모자반 에틸 아세테이트 분획물은 여드름 유발균인 프로피오니박테리움 아크네스에 의해 유도된 호중구의 침투를 억제시키고 농양을 감소시키는 효과를 나타내는 것으로 확인됨에 따라, 상기 미아베모자반 에틸 아세테이트 분획물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 조성물은 우수한 여드름 치료제 및 여드름 예방 또는 개선용 화장료 조성물로 제공될 수 있다.
