An posterior stabilized orthopaedic knee prosthesis (19) includes a tibial bearing (14) and a femoral component (12) configured to articulate with the tibial bearing. The femoral component includes a posterior cam (80) configured to contact a spine (60) of the tibial bearing and a condyle surface (100) curved in the sagittal plane. The radius of curvature of the condyle surface decreases gradually between early-flexion and mid-flexion. The radius of curvature of the condyle surface is increased during mid-flexion.
