PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device in which individual differences in imaging element characteristics and differences in optical characteristics of an optical path are not required to be matched perfectly.SOLUTION: An image processing device includes: an illumination part (103) for alternately illuminating a subject with first illumination light polarized in a first direction and second illumination light polarized in a second direction intersecting with the first direction, illumination light axes of the first illumination light and the second illumination light being substantially coaxial with an imaging light axis of the image processing device a splitter (109) for splitting return light into at least two and two polarization imaging elements (110 and 111) where the split return light is incident.
