The invention concerns a pharmaceutical composition in the form of a film-shaped system for transmucosal delivery of steroid hormones. The inventionconcerns in particular a system for delivering steroid hormones whichdissolves in the oral cavity and releases the active substances with highbioavailability. Said film-shaped delivery system dissolves in the oral cavitypreferably in less than 30 minutes, the steroid hormone which passes throughthe trasmucosal route of the delivery system to a blood circuit rapidlyincreasing concentration in the blood. The steroid hormone concentration inthe blood can reach a maximum level in less than 60 minutes after delivery.
