PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water culture medium which can prevent light from irradiating an underground part of a plant body in a water culture of the plant body with a plurality of stems, and a water culture device.SOLUTION: A water culture medium 1 comprises: a wall surface component 9 formed in a cylindrical shape； and a bottom surface component 7 constructed by a plurality of frame-like components 70 which respectively include discontinuous components 8a and are similar shaped to each other, or a swirl-like component. The water culture medium 1 includes a plurality of longitudinal components 10, 11 in which fixing members 10a, 10b, 11a, 11b at both ends thereof are respectively mounted to a member to be fixed 9a of the wall surface component 9 so as to support the bottom surface component 7.
