PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed which avoids the reverse insertion of a side fence, does not increase the thickness of the side fence, and has compatibility with another side fence and another bed.SOLUTION: A bed comprises: a frame body 11 serving as a base of the bed, in which an asymmetric side fence 40 having two support posts can be attached and detached a pair of support members 31, 32 attached to the side end of the frame body 11 and having two insertion holes 37, 38 for receiving the two support posts and avoidance members 31a, 32a for avoiding the insertion of the side fence in a wrong direction, which can be attached to and detached from each of the interiors of the insertion holes 37, 38.
