The X-ray generating apparatus generating a pulse type X-ray includes a cathode control unit which controls a voltage applied to the cathode and a grid control unit which controls a voltage applied to the grid. The grid control unit controls the grid to continuously generate a unit pulse composed of a first grid voltage to emit electrons to the target from the cathode and a second grid voltage to prevent the electrons from being emitted from the cathode to the target.
