The present invention relates to a thrombosis preventing or treating pharmaceutical composition containing a black Platycodon grandiflorum hot water extract as an active ingredient, and to a health functional food. The thrombosis preventing or treating/alleviating pharmaceutical composition of the present invention and the black Platycodon grandiflorum hot water extract as an active ingredient of a health functional food exhibit a strong antithrombotic activity by a coagulation inhibiting effect of platelets which perform roles of inhibiting thrombogenesis-related enzymes and initiating thrombogenesis.
