PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specific compound as a hemostatic agent, a hemostatic composition comprising the same, a method for producing the hemostasis composition, and a hemostatic method using the hemostasis composition.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a hemostatic composition in powder form, the composition comprising: fibril-type collagen comprising fibrous collagen and/or fibrillar collagen in amount of at least 70% by weight, preferably 80 to 90% by weight, based on the total weight of collagen； at least one monosaccharide in amount of 1 to 12.5% by weight based on the total weight of the composition； and optionally at least one compound selected from at least one coagulation factor and glycosaminoglycan. The present invention also provides a method for producing the composition.
