PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave irradiation apparatus that can be used for various purposes, and to provide a microwave irradiation method that uses the apparatus and can perform drying without burn.SOLUTION: There is provided a microwave irradiation apparatus having a heating pot for the microwave irradiation apparatus, the heating pot includes: an irradiation window to which a waveguide is connected； a stirring blade； a connection shaft to which the stirring blade is detachably connected； a driving device for rotating the connection shaft； a heating container； and a lid for the heating container. In the heating pot for the microwave irradiation apparatus, the connection shaft is disposed on the bottom of the heating container and arranged at a height so as to be immersed in a reaction object.
