PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent mistaking the cow number for a cow to milk, to ensure certainty and reliability in reading the cow number, to improve flexibility and applicability and to reduce the cost in the whole managament system. SOLUTION: Previously cow number data Dn related to all cows C corresponding to the respective stalls As are registered as cow number management data Dc in a management computer 4. In milking work, the respective milking units 2ax are moved in order to the first milking position, and some of the cow number management data Dc related to milking charge is received as charge management data Dcp from the management computer 4 by each unit controller 3ax, and set in each unit controller 3ax. Subsequently, the cow number Nc based on the charge management data Dcp is made to correspond to the respective cows C to milk, and displayed on a display parts 5ax of the unit controllers 3ax.
