To provide an improved system and a method for guiding insertion of a gastrointestinal tract tube.SOLUTION: A system comprises: an electromagnetic field generator which is configured to generate an electromagnetic field covering a treatment region； a positioning sensor which is configured to mark an anatomical position on a body of a patient； a gastrointestinal tract tube comprising a tip sensor which detects a position and/or orientation to the electromagnetic field generator； and a processing circuit for calculating orientation of a subject on the basis of an anatomical position marked by the positioning sensor, loading a prescribed anatomical map indicating a body, then positioning the map on the basis of the anatomical position marked by the positioning sensor, then indicating a path of insertion of the gastrointestinal tract tube on the map.
