PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compensate in case a subject moves between a sensitivity distribution measurement and a principal measurement, when obtaining sensitivity distribution data for the RF reception coil used in a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus and correcting the brightness of the subjects image based on the data obtained.SOLUTION: The measurement (S302) of a subjects position is executed in a CPU of a control part of the magnetic resonance imaging apparatus immediately before or during both the sensitivity distribution measurement (S301) and the principal measurement (S305), so as to measure (S303) the displacement quantity associated with the subjects movements.
