It is well known that light is attracted to fish at night, and it is preferred that the artificial fishing light be of the underwater type to avoid significant amounts of light reflecting off the water surface. It is known that disposable glow sticks are used as underwater type fishing lights. However, these glow sticks cannot be turned off, can only be used once, and often have relatively low brightness. The present invention provides an electric light source with higher brightness than conventional glow sticks that can be attached to a fishing line. To accomplish this, the light source is configured such that when the light source is placed at a certain depth, the external water pressure increases the sealing force against water ingress.
