The present invention relates to a patient respiratory gated system using natural breathing during a radiation therapy and a method for irradiating radiation thereby. The system of the present invention, in a respiratory gated system for irradiating radiation for the position of the subject of treatment changing following the breathing of a patient, comprises: a respiratory mask for measuring the breathing quantity of the patient； an external marker attached to an external triangulation point around the part to be treated of the patient； an image diagnosis unit for shooting an image of the part to be treated of the patient； and, a computer program which is made to calculate the changes in position of the subject to be treated according to the breathing quantity measured by a computerized tomography equipment and the external marker into position coordinates through a triangular position estimation method and a double polynomial equation and to transmit the position coordinates, which change in real time, to a radiation therapy system. The present invention lets the respiratory gated system irradiate radiation. The present invention can increase the accuracy and stability of total radiation therapy results by tracking the movements of the organ to be treated according to the breathing in real time through the respiratory gated system using natural breathing, which is not a breathing method taught by education and training of the patient.본 발명은 방사선 치료시 자연호흡법을 이용한 환자 호흡동조 시스템 및 이에 의한 방사선 조사방법에 관한 것으로서, 환자의 호흡에 따라 변화하는 치료대상의 위치에 맞추어 방사선을 조사하도록 한 호흡동조 시스템에 있어서, 환자의 호흡량을 측정할 수 있도록 하는 호흡마스크； 환자의 치료대상 부위 주변의 신체 외부 삼각점에 각각 부착되는 외부 마커； 환자의 치료대상 부위를 촬영하여 영상화하는 영상진단장치； 및 상기 컴퓨터 단층 촬영장비(CT)와 각 외부 마커로 측정한 호흡량에 따른 치료대상의 위치변화를 삼각위치추정법과 이중 다항방정식을 통해 위치좌표로 산출하고, 실시간으로 변화하는 상기 위치좌표를 방사선 치료기에 전송하도록 프로그램된 컴퓨터 프로그램；을 포함하여, 상기 호흡동조 시스템에 의해 방사선을 조사하도록 한 것이며, 환자의 교육훈련에 따른 호흡법이 아닌 자연적인 호흡을 이용한 호흡동조 시스템을 통하여 호흡에 따른 치료대상인 장기의 움직임을 실시간으로 추적하여 전체 방사선 치료 성적의 정확성 및 안정성을 더욱 높일 수 있는 효과가 있다.
