PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rod holding tool for supporting a plant capable of easily and firmly mounting an opening end of a container for plant cultivation whatever the shape of the opening end is, and does not cause deterioration of appearance nor damage on the container for plant cultivation due to mounting, and to provide a tool for supporting a plant equipped with the same.SOLUTION: The rod holding tool 20 is mounted on the opening end E of the container for plant cultivation P, is used for holding the rod for supporting the plant, and has a supporting part 22 and a bent deformation part 24. The supporting part 22 has an insertion part 34 comprising a through-hole 32 in which a pillar 12 can insert, which can be fixed at an optional position. The bent deformation part 24 is formed so as to be extended in a substantially identical direction to the insertion direction of the pillar 12, and can hold the opening end E by bent deformation.
