A method by which an inexpensive shaped film product can be produced on a commercial scale includes placing a mask on a substrate and delivering a film-forming composition through a nozzle to form a rough shape on the substrate. Removing the mask and solidifying the film-forming composition to provide a shaped film product disposed on the substrate. The mask has a delivery surface, a surface facing the opposite substrate, and at least one opening having a design corresponding to the desired shaped film product.
