To provide a rotary type flower pot placing device which can rotate smoothly and easily by manual operation or automatically in a required orientation, a large sized and heavy flower pot in a state of being placed on a placing base without lifting up the same by a hand, and preventing flowers or leaves of a plant from facing a specific direction.SOLUTION: A rotary type flower pot placing device comprises: a base 2 comprising a seating face on a top part thereof； a rotary plate 8 rotatably supported to the seating face of the base and supporting a flower pot 10 on a top surface thereof； means for inhibiting withdrawal of the rotary plate to the base； a plurality of rolling elements (small spheres 5) interposed between a periphery of a top surface of the seating face of the base and a periphery of a lower surface of the rotary plate； and a rolling element guide groove formed on a top surface of the base and/or a lower surface of the rotary plate.
