An immunogenic composition comprising a combination of GAS antigens,said combination consisting of two to thirty one GAS antigens, wherein saidcombination comprises:(i) GAS 40, said GAS40 being a protein comprising an amino acidsequence (a) having 80% or more identity to SEQ ID NO: 1 and/or (b)which is a fragment of at least 20 consecutive amino acids of SEQ IDNO: 1； and(ii) GAS57, said GAS57 being a protein comprising an amino acidsequence (a) having 80% or more identity to SEQ ID NO: 116 and/or(b) which is a fragment of at least 200 consecutive amino acids of SEQID NO:116.The composition is useful for the therapeutic or prophylactic treatment ofStreptococcus pyogenes infection in an animal susceptible to streptococcalinfection.
