An end effector assembly (12) is operably coupled to a distal end (16) of the shaft (14) and includes a pair of first and second jaw members (22, 24). One (or both) of the first and second jaw members (22, 24) is movable from an open configuration for positioning tissue therebetween, to a clamping configuration for grasping tissue therebetween. Each of the first and second jaw members (22, 24) includes a first electrode (30, 32) thereon for electrosurgically treating tissue.
