PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device for a wheelchair effectively absorbing an impact on a user even if a vehicle loaded with the wheelchair has a collision accident, and the like.SOLUTION: Air bags 21 for covering a prescribed part of the user A are arranged in the wheelchair 1. When an air bag operating signal is outputted from a sensor 9a of a wheelchair carrier vehicle 9 loaded with the wheelchair 1, the air bags 21 of the wheelchair 1 are expanded. Accordingly, the impact on the user A of the wheelchair 1 is absorbed by the air bags 21 of the wheelchair 1, so as to protect the user A of the wheelchair 1 from the impact in collision.
