the present invention relates to a pig feeder for use as they grow continuously from their weaning phase to their finishing phase, the feeder including a chute and a shelf with a water tube located under the shelf with a plurality of water dispensing nozzles, the nozzles of which are operable by the pigs in order to dispense the water in a downward direction into the trough and mix it with the feed in the trough. the shelf is fixed at the top at a common height for use both by the newly weaned piglets as well as by animals grown in the finishing phase so that it is not adjustable in order to accommodate the growth of the animals. this is achieved by selecting the dimensions of the shelf height in relation to the water nozzles and side walls and by selecting the shape of the shelf to allow the required access.a presente invenção se refere a um alimentador de porcos para uso dos mesmos à medida que crescem continuamente desde a sua fase de desmame até a sua fase de terminação, o alimentador incluindo uma calha e uma prateleira dotada de um tubo de água localizado por baixo da prateleira com uma pluralidade de bocais de dispensa de água, cujos bocais são operáveis por parte dos suínos de modo a dispensar a água no sentido descendente para dentro da calha e misturar a mesma com a ração na calha. a prateleira é fixada no alto a uma altura comum para uso tanto pelos leitões recém-desmamados como também pelos animais crescidos em fase de terminação de modo que a mesma não seja ajustável no sentido de se acomodar ao crescimento dos animais. isso é obtido ao selecionar as dimensões da altura da prateleira com relação aos bocais de água e às paredes laterais e ao selecionar a forma da prateleira de modo a permitir o requerido acesso.
