A method of crimping a stent into a balloon, comprising: i. raising a stent temperature； ii. pre-crimping of the stent including reduction of a stent diameter to a first diameter while the stent is supported on a mandrel in a crimping head, where the stent exhibits a first elevated temperature while the stent diameter is reduced to the first diameter； iii. removing the stent and mandrel from the crimping head after the pre-crimping step and placing the stent on a balloon catheter in order to assemble a stent-catheter assembly, a balloon catheter balloon capable of being pressurized through a proximal end of a balloon catheter inflation lumen； iv. placing the stent-catheter assembly in the crimping head and increasing the stent temperature to a second elevated temperature, while the stent exhibits the second elevated temperature, and pressurizing the balloon through the inflation lumen while the stent-catheter assembly is located in the crimping head, where the stent diameter expands to a second diameter that is up to approximately 25-30% greater than the first diameter when the balloon is pressurized； v. after stage iv, the stent pressure in the balloon, stent with a third elevated temperature, stage v that includes the reduction of the stent diameter with the crimping head from the second diameter to approximately a final diameter while maintaining a balloon pressure including the step of reducing the stent diameter by approximately 25% to 40% from the second diameter while maintaining balloon pressure and vi. removing the stent-catheter assembly from the crimping head.Un método para engarzar un stent en un balón, que comprende: i. la elevación de una temperatura del stent； ii. el engarce previo del stent que incluye la reducción de un diámetro de stent a un primer diámetro mientras el stent es soportado sobre un mandril en un cabezal de engarce, donde el stent presenta una primera temperatura elevada mientras que el diámetro de stent se reduce al primer diámetro；
