PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous photocatalyst element for the fluid treatment which enhances the catalyst efficiency compared with the conventional and which reduces the futility of resources as much as possible.
SOLUTION: The porous photocatalyst element has a constitution that it is more thickly covered with a photocatalyst on the outer surface and the pore face of the outer surface of the metal porous body than the inner pore face. In the porous photocatalyst element 1, it is preferable that the metal porous body 4 is formed in a plate-like material and is covered thickly with the photocatalyst on only the outer surface 2 of the one side of the plate and the pore face of the outer surface 2. It is further preferable that the outer surface 3 of the opposite side of the plate and the pore face of the outer surface 3 are subjected to the hydrophobic treatment.
