PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holeless raising seedling box for a paddy rice in which the seedling root does not grow out of a bottom surface of the raising seedling box for a paddy rice because of no hole, entanglement of the seedling root in the raising seedling box for a paddy rice does not become stronger than necessary and a seedling suitable for a transplanter can be raised, and a seeding method for the same.SOLUTION: A holeless raising seedling box for a paddy rice adopts the following means. Firstly, the holeless raising seedling box for a paddy rice is a raising seedling box for a paddy rice to raise a mat seedling for a transplanter. Secondly, a bottom surface of the holeless raising seedling box for a paddy rice is no hole flat surface without any permeable hole. Thirdly, the holeless raising seedling box for a paddy rice has longitudinal and transversal dimensions of an external size and an internal size which are conformity with the standard raising seeding box for a paddy rice suitable for the transplanter. Fourthly, an inside depth of the holeless raising seedling box for a paddy rice is 2 mm deeper than the standard.【課題】穴をなくすことにより水稲用育苗箱の底面から苗の根が出ず、且つ、水稲用育苗箱内で苗の根の絡みが必要以上に強くならず、且つ、田植機に適する大きさの苗を育苗できる穴無し水稲用育苗箱及びそれを利用した種まき方法を提供する。【解決手段】穴無し水稲用育苗箱に次の手段を採用する。第１に、田植機用のマット苗を育苗する水稲用育苗箱とする。第２に、当該水稲用育苗箱の底面が、透水穴を形成していない穴無し平面とされる。第３に、当該水稲用育苗箱の大きさが、田植機に適合する水稲用育苗箱の規格に合致する縦横外寸及び縦横内寸を有する。第４に、当該水稲用育苗箱の内側の深さが、規格より２ｍｍ深いものとする。【選択図】図３
