PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively observe the inner part of a periodontal pocket with an inexpensive constitution by allowing an auxiliary instrument effective for observing the inner part of the periodontal pocket to be removably mounted on an intraoral observation scope to observe the small space of a root canal.SOLUTION: An observation scope for a periodontal pocket includes: the intraoral observation scope indicated in Fig.1(A) and the auxiliary instrument 50 for observing the inner part of the periodontal pocket (Fig.1(B)) to be used in observing the inner part of the periodontal pocket in cooperation with the intraoral observation scope. The auxiliary instrument 50 for observing the inner part of the periodontal pocket includes: a flexible tube 51 a connection cap 52 mounted on one end of the flexible tube 51 and an attachment 53 mounted on the other end of the flexible tube and to be inserted to the periodontal pocket. When the inner part of the periodontal pocket is observed, the auxiliary instrument 50 for observing the inner part of the periodontal pocket indicated in Fig.1 covers the intraoral observation scope indicated in Fig.1(A) from a direction indicated by an arrow A, to be in a state indicated in Fig.1(C).
