A transport unit (XI) includes: a transporting device (10) that turns a pad (18) 90 degrees while the pad (18) rotates from a receiving position (E1) to a transfer position (E2)； and first and second receiving rollers (21, 22) that sandwich a sheet (SI, S2) and an absorbent body (A) between a holding surface (18A) and the respective receiving rollers at the transfer position (E2). The holding surface (18A) includes first and second sloped surfaces (18a, 18b) that are aligned in the direction in which a pad rotating shaft (11) extends at the transfer position (E2). The first and second receiving rollers (21, 22) have outer diameters decreasing from the proximal ends (21A, 22A) to the distal ends (21B, 22B) and are disposed such that distal ends (21B, 22B) are positioned on the sides of first and second ends (181, 182) of the holding surface (18A), respectively. The first and second receiving rollers (21, 22) are disposed so as to sandwich the sheet (SI, S2) and the absorbent body (A) between the first and second sloped surfaces (18a, 18b) and the first and second receiving rollers, respectively.
