A submersible lantern is anchored to the sea floor and kept upright by a float and a countersink weight. The lantern emits multiple patterns of green and white light. The lantern has an elongated body, and includes a float and weight to vertically orient the lantern underwater so that it emits light 360 degrees around the lantern body. A push button switch along with a PCB board cycles the lights and power level to the lights based on the particular application. A wireless circuit is used for remote operation via a mobile phone or other wireless device.
