Die Erfindung betrifft die Verwendung einer antioxidativen Substanz, die einen antioxidativen Rest trägt, welcher über eine Linker-Gruppe mit einer lipophilen, kationisch geladenen Gruppe verknüpft ist, zur Bekämpfung der Hautalterung, zum Schutz der Haut vor Schäden durch ultraviolette Strahlung, zur Verbesserung der Elastizität der Haut und/oder zur Verringerung und/oder Verhinderung der Faltenbildung sowie Zusammensetzungen, enthaltend eine solche antioxidative Substanz und 0,0001 bis 99 Gew.-% mindestens eines Tensids.Composition comprises (a) at least an antioxidant substance comprising an antioxidant residue (A) that is connected with a lipophilic, cationic charged group (K) via a linker group (L) and counterions, and (b) 0.0001-99 wt.% of at least one surfactant. An independent claim is included for the antioxidant substance (a) for non-therapeutic and cosmetic applications, preferably as antiaging agent, to protect skin against damage by UV radiation, to improve elasticity of the skin and/or to reduce and/or prevent wrinkles.
