PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressurization respiratory gas humidifier adapter with a pressure relief valve having an audible signal generator at a small flow respiratory gas feed system as incorporated in the system.SOLUTION: The adaptor is for protecting the pressure relief valve and the audible signal generator from accidental damage during use of a humidifier system, especially during connection of the adaptor 30 to a respiratory gas supply system, and when the adaptor is connected to a humidifier container before the adaptor is coupled to the gas feed system. The pressure relief valve and the audible signal generator are incorporated in the humidifier adaptor to form a gas-tight seal to a standard type medical humidifier container.
