PURPOSE: A composition including a Lespedeza bicolor extract as an active ingredient is provided to have less skin irritation, excellent skin cell reviving capability, and thus the composition has effects of contributing prevention of hair loss and promoting hair growth.CONSTITUTION: A composition for hair comprises a Lespedeza bicolor extract as an active ingredient. The Lespedeza bicolor extract is extracted from one selected from the group consisting of berry, flower, stem, leaf, and seed of Lespedeza bicolor. The Lespedeza bicolor extract is obtained by heating Lespedeza bicolor in a solvent selected from the group consisting of water, a C_1-C_4 alcohol, n-hexane, and ethyl acetate at a temperature of 40 to 120°C for 0.5 to 4 hours.
