An acetic acid bacterium-containing food composition having a good aroma and a method for producing the same. The food composition containing acetic acid bacterial cells of the present invention contains acetic acid and n-butyric acid, and the aroma component of the food composition is measured by solid-phase microextraction-gas chromatography mass spectrometry. The peak area ratio of acetic acid and n-butyric acid is 40: 1 to 1:20. Such a food composition unexpectedly has a rice bran-like fermented incense and can provoke consumers' appetite.【課題】良好な香気を有する酢酸菌体含有食品組成物およびその製造方法の提供。【解決手段】本発明の酢酸菌体を含有する食品組成物は、酢酸と、ｎ－酪酸とを含み、食品組成物の香気成分を固相マイクロ抽出－ガスクロマトグラフ質量分析法で測定した場合に、酢酸とｎ－酪酸のピーク面積比が、４０：１～１：２０である。このような食品組成物は、意外にも米糠様の発酵香を有しており、消費者の食欲を惹起することができる。
