PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peeling device continuously moving blades of a plurality of peelers in a long direction of a rod-shaped vegetable in a pressure-contact state simultaneously with continuously rotating the rod-shaped vegetable around the axis, and peeling the whole periphery of the rod-shaped vegetable by one-time movement of the peelers.SOLUTION: A peeling device for a rod-shaped vegetable includes: a vegetable support mechanism 2 supporting both ends in a long direction of the rod-shaped vegetable 91 a vegetable axis rotation mechanism 3 rotating the rod-shaped vegetable around the axis and a peeling mechanism 5 moving peelers 70 in the long direction of the rod-shaped vegetable while bringing blades 71 into pressure-contact with the rod-shaped vegetable to peel an outer circumferential part of the rod-shaped vegetable. The vegetable axis rotation mechanism continuously rotates the rod-shaped vegetable around the axis, and the peeling mechanism includes a pair of endless peeler conveyance parts 61, 61 oppositely disposed such that the peeler conveyance parts 61, 61 sandwich the rod-shaped vegetable, and forming a peeling space 67 to the rod-shaped vegetable. The peeler conveyance parts are each disposed with the plurality of peelers side by side, symmetrically continuously circularly rotate, and move the plurality of peelers along the long direction of the rod-shaped vegetable at constant velocity inside the peeling space.
