PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a harvesting work machine capable of improving stability of a work posture while harvesting without dropping harvested crops.SOLUTION: A harvesting work machine 10 comprises: an operation base 8 which is provided on a truck 2 capable of traveling, and on which an operator P rides a storage box 7 for storing harvested fruits a pantagraph type lifting device 6 for lifting and lowering the operation base 8 and the storage box 7 in a vertical direction and a clamping type fall prevention device 20 which is provided in the upper part of the lifting device 6 or at a position higher than that, and can extend to a side of the work machine.
