A degassing module for removal of air and other gases during operation of a medical therapy device that delivers any one of hemodialysis, hemodiafiltration and hemofiltration. The degassing module has a flow-through first chamber that has a hydrophobic vent membrane that has an exterior and interior side forming a portion of the flow-through chamber. The hydrophobic vent membrane is positioned at a higher elevation on the flow-through chamber than a fluid outlet. Fluid flows through the flow-through chamber in a downward direction relative to the hydrophobic vent membrane. A flow-through chamber has a cross sectional area configured to provide for a downward flow velocity of the fluid to be less than the upward rise velocity of a smallest bubble to be removed from the fluid.La présente invention concerne un module de dégazage permettant d'enlever l'air et d'autres gaz lors du fonctionnement d'un dispositif thérapeutique médical de fourniture d'hémodialyse, d'hémodiafiltration ou d'hémofiltration. Le module de dégazage dispose d'une première chambre d'écoulement traversant qui est munie d'une membrane à orifice d'évacuation hydrophobe qui a un côté extérieur et intérieur formant une partie de la chambre d'écoulement traversant. La membrane à orifice d'évacuation hydrophobe est positionnée à un niveau d'élévation plus haut qu'une sortie de fluide sur la chambre d'écoulement traversant. Le fluide s'écoule en passant par la chambre d'écoulement traversant en direction du bas par rapport à la membrane à orifice d'évacuation hydrophobe. Une chambre d'écoulement traversant possède une zone de section transversale conçue pour permettre une vélocité d'écoulement vers le bas du fluide qui est inférieure à la vélocité de remontée d'une bulle de la plus petite taille devant être enlevée du fluide.
