FIELD: package.SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a packaging unit for hygienic articles, wherein the unit is made of a sheet of material having an inner surface and an outer surface. Inner surface comprises an edge zone comprising an inner edge portion and an outer edge portion. Sheet has at least one folding axis dividing the sheet into a first region and a second region. One of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the first region is provided with a pressure-sensitive adhesive that is re-sealable, and the other of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the first region is adhesive-free. Additionally, one of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the second zone is provided with a pressure-sensitive adhesive that is re-sealable, and the other of the inner edge portion and the outer edge portion of the edge zone of the second zone is adhesive-free in addition to the edge zone of the first zone. Thus, when the sheet is folded around the folding axis, the edge portion holding the adhesive in the first zone is brought into contact with the edge zone adhesive-free in the second zone, and the edge zone with the adhesive in the second zone is brought into contact with the adhesive-free edge zone in the first zone.
