A West Nile virus vaccine for human use is described that preferably containsa recombinantly produced form oftruncated West Nile virus envelope glycoprotein and aluminum adjuvant. Thevaccine is acceptable for use in the generalpopulation, including immunosuppressed, immunocompromised, and immunosenescentindividuals. The vaccine is safe and effective foruse in all healthy and at-risk populations. A pharmaceutically acceptablevehicle may also be included in the vaccine.
