PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic cassette capable of establishing the reduction of its weight and the improvement of its strength.SOLUTION: An electronic cassette 10 comprises: a casing 15 an FPD(Flat Panel Detector) 17 stored in the casing 15 a circuit board 18 and a support substrate 19. The circuit board 18 in which a signal processing circuit for performing the signal processing of the FPD 17 is disposed is mounted on the back face of the support substrate 19. The support substrate 19 is configured as a carbon plate constituted of carbon fiber-reinforced synthetic resin with flexural strength having anisotropy corresponding to the fiber direction of carbon fibers. Spacers 37a to 37d for forming the storage space of the circuit board 18 between the support substrate 19 and the casing 15 are disposed on the inner face of the back case 23 constituting the casing 15.
