The invention provides a method for preparing a tissue engineering scaffold of crosslinked carboxymethyl chitin, and the scaffold of crosslinked carboxymethyl chitin is prepared by dehydrating and crosslinking a scaffold of carboxymethyl chitin in virtue of a dehydrating agent. The method has simple process and low cost. The residual carboxymethyl in the crosslinked carboxymethyl chitin can be combined with basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), thus becoming a keeping alive and slow-releasing carrier of the factor. The carbodiimide chemical crosslinked carboxymethyl chitin of the invention can be taken as material of tissue engineering dermis scaffolds or material of other tissue engineering scaffolds, bones, vessels, etc.
