PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary wheel for a wheelchair or the like, which can smoothly pass over a stepped part if the stepped part has a slight difference in level.SOLUTION: A fan-shaped plate 2 for passage over the stepped part is arranged on both sides of the auxiliary wheel. A radius of the circular-arc outer peripheral edge part of the fan-shaped plate 2 is made extremely larger than that of the auxiliary wheel 1 and the outer peripheral edge part is made slightly higher than the ground plane of the auxiliary wheel 1, to keep a distance from the ground during normal traveling. Also, the auxiliary wheel for a wheelchair or the like is configured to be abutted simultaneously on the corner part of the stepped part by arranging the fan-shaped plate 2 on both sides of the auxiliary wheel 1 so that the auxiliary wheel 1 itself is not rotated obliquely with respect to the stepped part just before running up onto the stepped part.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】僅かな段差ならば、スムーズに乗り降りができる車椅子等の補助車輪を提供する。【解決手段】補助車輪の両側に扇型の段差通過用のプレート2を設ける。扇型プレート2の円弧状の外周縁部の半径は補助車輪1の半径より極力大きくし、その外周縁部は補助車輪1の接地面より僅かに浮かして、通常の走行時には地面との隙間を設けておく。また、段差に乗り上げる直前に、補助車輪1自体が段差に対して斜めに回転しないように、補助車輪1の両側に扇型プレート2を設け、段差の角部に同時に当たる構造であることを特徴とする車椅子等の補助車輪。【選択図】図1
