PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus which divides a reception opening to perform imaging with higher image quality than that when not dividing the reception opening.SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus includes a control unit 18, a complex calculation unit 128, and an image generation unit 15. The control unit 18 sets a plurality of reception openings to a reception scan line. The complex calculation unit 128 acquires IQ signals or analysis signals after phasing addition as reception signals of the reception scan line which are obtained at each of the plurality of reception openings, multiplies the obtained reception signal of each of the plurality of reception openings by a complex coefficient, and outputs signals added by each of the reception signals after multiplication as the reception signals of the reception scan line. The image generation unit 15 generates ultrasonic image data on the basis of the reception signals output by the complex calculation unit.
