A method of providing an activation volume (VDA) of a stimulation electrode lead wire, including: calculating, by a processor of a VDA provisioning machine, a VDA for each of a plurality of sets of parameter setting of the conductive thread； storing in each database each of the VDAs calculated in association with the respective set of parameter settings for which it was calculated； obtain another set of parameter settings of the lead wire (315, 335)； determine, by the processor, a VDA (340) for the set obtained from parameter settings based on the stored VDAs； and send, by the machine, the determined VDA； characterized in that: the determination of the VDA for the set obtained from parameter settings includes determining which or which of the stored sets of parameter settings are more similar to the set obtained from parameter settings, and selecting a VDA corresponding to the one or several stored sets of parameter settings.Un método de proporcionar un volumen de activación (VDA) de un hilo conductor de electrodo de estimulación, incluyendo: calcular, por un procesador de una máquina de provisión de VDA, un VDA para cada uno de una pluralidad de conjuntos de ajustes de parámetro del hilo conductor； almacenar en una base de datos cada uno de los VDAs calculados en asociación con el conjunto respectivo de ajustes de parámetro para el que se calculó； obtener otro conjunto de ajustes de parámetro del hilo conductor (315, 335)； determinar, por el procesador, un VDA (340) para el conjunto obtenido de ajustes de parámetro en base a los VDAs almacenados； y enviar, por la máquina, el VDA determinado； caracterizado porque: la determinación del VDA para el conjunto obtenido de ajustes de parámetro incluye determinar cuál o cuáles de los conjuntos almacenados de ajustes de parámetro son más similares al conjunto obtenido de ajustes de parámetro, y seleccionar un VDA correspondiente al uno o varios conjuntos almacenados de ajustes de parámetro.
