An infrared radiation device, comprising an electrically isolating bearer having a plurality of electric conductors forming an electric resistance radiation element for emitting infrared radiation when powered by an electric power source. The housing has a circumferential wall of fluid tight material enclosing an inner opening, and the bearer and a core material are received in the inner opening of the housing such that the core and the bearer extend in the housing. The core material, by filling up the inner opening of the housing, holds the bearer in mechanical contact with at least part of the wall of the housing in circumferential direction thereof.
