The food supplement for combating asthma contains certain nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and unsaturated fatty acids that combat infections and inflammations of the respiratory system, soothe and act favourably on dilation of the bronchi, and provide relief to persons suffering from breathing difficulties caused by congestion or lack of air. The asthma combatting component plays a very important role in antioxidant enhancement and thus improves the ability of the body to resist a large number of diseases and, in particular, asthma. The novel composition is characterised in that it contains, in a finely powdered mixture, gum arabic, linseed, white candi sugar, fenugreek seed and liquorice. This food supplement acts in a gentle manner without attacking the organism and without side effects, and allows use by oral administration over a prolonged period of three to twelve months, depending on the condition of the patient, in both children and adults. For adults, the dose is the equivalent of 2 capsules (approximately 1.50 grams) in the morning, on an empty stomach (20 to 30 minutes before breakfast) and the equivalent of 2 more capsules in the evening, before bed.
