Disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition for external use which is an organogel to which a fatty acid ester and a glycerin fatty acid ester are added. Specifically disclosed are a novel transdermally absorbed pharmaceutical composition for external use and a manufacturing method for the same which takes the form of an organogel having a pharmaceutical preparation such as a non-narcotic analgesic as the active ingredient, to which a fatty acid ester and a glycerin fatty acid ester are added. The disclosed pharmaceutical composition for external use markedly improves the skin penetrativity of a pharmaceutical preparation such as a non-narcotic analgesic, can enable the sustained penetration of a sufficient amount of the pharmaceutical into the skin, and because the composition takes the form of an organogel, the composition can be easily applied in practical situations. Furthermore, because the pharmaceutical release rate is high, the composition is useful for the effective utilization of pharmaceutical preparations and the like.
