PURPOSE: A Crepidiastrum denticulatum extract is provided to protect degeneration of retinal neuronal cells induced by oxidative stress and to be used as a therapeutic agent, a functional food, and a pharmaceutical material for retinal diseases. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating retinal diseases contains a Crepidiastrum denticulatum extract. The retinal diseases include age-related macular degeneration.
