This invention relates to pharmaceutical and veterinary formulations providingenhanced solvency and stability forpharmaceutical and veterinary agents for administration to animals, especiallyruminants. In addition, the invention relates to pour-onformulations for combating parasites in animals, such as cattle and sheep. Insome embodiments, this invention providesglycol-ether-based pour-on formulations comprising a composition comprising aflukicide, such as, for example, clorsulon(4-amino-6--trichloroethenyl- 1,3 -benzene disulfonamide) and/or a macrolideanthelmintic or antiparasitic agent. In other embodiments, theinvention provides pour-on formulations comprising at least one active agent,a glycol ether, and a stability enhancer. This inventionalso provides for methods for eradicating, controlling, and/or preventingparasite infestation in animals, such as cattle and sheep.
