A method of inserting an analyte material sensor through the skin, the method comprising: providing a channel guide at least partially comprising a subunit of the analyte material sensor, the subunit of the analyte material sensor comprising an analyte material sensor and electrical contact elements corresponding to electrical contacts of the sensor unit, while the channel guide is made with the possibility of mechanical connection with the sensor unit before inserting the sensor of the analyzed material; and apply a driving force to the subunit of the sensor of the analyzed material in such a way that the sensor of the analyzed material at least partially leaves the channel guide and at least partially enters the skin, while the driving force is provided by the tool for inserting the sensor, made with the possibility of mechanical connection with the channel guide before inserting the sensor of the analyzed material, and the channel guide and the tool for inserting the sensor are additionally made with the possibility of mechanical fixing to each other before inserting the sensor of the analyzed material, and are made with the possibility of disconnecting from the sensor unit after inserting the sensor. 2.
